The Hereford Mini-Farm is a garden that unites students, faculty and community members while producing delicious vegetables and herbs for Herefordians to enjoy. Students can volunteer to plant and clean up the beds throughout the year, and specific projects include UVA Child Development Center Outreach, a short course in Fall 2010 titled, “From Garden to Table… Italian Style” in which students cooked with fresh, seasonal ingredients from the garden, and hosting organic farmer Eliot Coleman.
