Slow Food is a group of students that work to bring awareness to the quality and source of our food. The Slow Food movement stands for everything that fast food chains do not: fresh, local, seasonal produce. They work to promote recipes being handed down through generations, sustainable farming techniques, leisurely dining with family and friends. Slow Food can and should go hand in hand with protecting the environment as well. They also don’t forget that food should be enjoyed and practice the art of savoring delicious food in their monthly potlucks.
